From Pastor Kevin . . .

The 23rd Psalm has been a frequent stop for   me in the last couple of weeks in preparation for the ordination of Zaxxson and dealing with his transition to the Dominican Republic. David’s description of the Lord’s leadership is powerfully comforting and thought provoking.

It is powerfully comforting because it reminds me that God is Lord over all. He is the One guiding the steps of His sheep along the paths and protecting them from the natural dangers and from the lurking enemies that we will encounter. God is the one who feeds His sheep in the presence of our enemies. God is not afraid of those enemies, especially the enemy of  the future, or the unknown, because He knows what tomorrow brings. As sheep, our confidence and power lies in the knowledge that God will provide for His sheep even though we may not be quite sure how He will accomplish that. As we search for a new staff member to lead our worship and our youth, we should be confident that God will provide for that need. Our prayers to God in this matter indicate our dependence and need for Him.
