From Pastor Kevin . . .
Are you a “list” person? It seems like this time of year is filled with lists: list of things for which to give thanks, the Christmas card list, the Christmas wish list, the Christmas party invitation list, even the list of New Year’s resolutions makes the list about lists. In keeping with the spirit of lists, I created one for us to ponder and hopefully live out beginning this Christmas season and into next year as well.
- EXALT CHRIST
This is the season of Emmanuel’s coming. Let us celebrate the Lord Jesus, His first advent, His redemptive work on the Cross, His resurrection, and His coming again. This should be a daily lifelong occurrence.
- ENGAGE LOSTNESS
The Christmas season gives us a wonderful opportunity to tell people about Jesus Christ and how He has paid the price for our sins so that we can experience reconciliation and peace with God.
- ELEVATE OTHERS
This is the season of giving where we can demonstrate in very visible ways putting the needs of others ahead of our own wants and needs.
- EXPAND OUR INFLUENCE
We need to look for ways that we can impact lives for Christ and make a difference for the Kingdom of God.
Have a blessed and joyous Christmas!
In Christ Alone,
P.S. Maybe you can make a list off the above list on how you can do some of the above.
